I organise the list this way because a year is too blunt an instrument. Some entries belong to the bus even if they were drafted at the kitchen table later. The grouping is honest enough for a personal blog.
Entries marked with a date are finished pieces. Drafts stay in my notebook until they have a seat worth naming — landing, coffeeshop, bus, or kitchen table.
The Chin Swee note from November is the outlier — written after an evening walk that took me through someone else's emergency at a distance. Everything else is closer to home: Kovan, Hougang, Serangoon Gardens, the routes I ride without thinking.
